Senior FP&A Analyst

Join a growing non-bank lender listed on the ASX Permanent, full-time position Darlinghurst location FSA Group is an ASX-listed business that specialises in Lending. We own several businesses including Azora, a high-growth non-bank lender. We’re looking for a FP&A Analyst to lead the planning, delivery, and optimisation of our technology infrastructure — ensuring reliability, security, and efficiency across our systems while guiding our development function. In this role, you'll report directly to the CFO and collaborate with a high-calibre leadership team and some of the sharpest minds in the industry. Your Responsibilities | How you will make a difference Become a trusted representative and contribute positively to the business by providing value-add inputs to enhance understanding of financial matters. Partner closely with Treasury, GM of Consumer and Commercial divisions, GM of unsecured lending team, and Partner of Insolvency business to provide insights that drive business performance and support decision-making. Provide input on special projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Work with the CFO on the annual budgeting, monthly reforecasting and long-term planning processes, scenario analysis, ensuring accuracy, clarity and alignment with strategic objectives. Partner with the Financial Controller to deliver monthly reports, variance analysis, key drivers, trend commentary and actionable recommendations. Lead the preparation of monthly board reporting packs, including variance analysis, key drivers, trend commentary and actionable recommendations. Support the CFO in communicating financial strategy and forecasts to senior management and the board. Assist in the preparation and coordination of half-year and year-end audits, ensuring timely submission of audit requests. Develop detailed competitor analysis and insights to help drive competitive advantage. Deliver deep dives on potential new commercial opportunities upon request. Develop and maintain dynamic financial models to support portfolio performance analysis, product pricing, capital planning and scenario modelling. Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting for executives as required. Drive continuous improvement across forecasting, reporting and analytical processes to reduce manual effort and increase accuracy. Leverage automation, system enhancements, and data optimisation to improve reporting turnaround times. Your Skills & Experience | A little bit about you… Tertiary level qualifications at degree level or higher in accounting combined with recognition as a professional accountant (CA or CPA). Strong financial modelling capability, including scenario analysis, sensitivity testing and driver-based planning. Experience working with BI tools (e.g., Power BI), planning systems (Workday Adaptive Planning), and advanced MS Excel. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights for non-financial stakeholders. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence presenting to senior management. Demonstrated ability to prioritise, manage deadlines and navigate ambiguity in a fast-growth environment. Able to work autonomously, proactive, accountable, and a can‑do attitude essential.
