Residential Youth Worker Casual Opportunities Staff on Standby (SOS) Looking for staff in Logan Ipswich or Gold Coast Regions Are you ready to make a real difference in young lives At Staff on Standby (SOS) were passionate about providing safe supportive and nurturing care for vulnerable young people. Were looking for resilient compassionate and adaptable Youth Workers to join our team on a casual basis. What Youll Do Create a safe stable and supportive environment Build positive trusting relationships that empower healing and growth Support young peoples access to education healthcare and life skills Encourage resilience independence and healthy decision-making Maintain daily routines and a nurturing home environment Complete clear written and verbal reports Assist with tailored behaviour management strategies About You You are calm flexible and creative with the ability to connect meaningfully with young people. To succeed youll need : A strong understanding of trauma-informed care and the child protection system Excellent communication problem-solving and interpersonal skills Resilience to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic role Requirements Certificate IV in Youth / Community Services (or near completion of relevant qualification) LCS (Licensed Care Check) highly preferred ideally completed within the past 12 months (or willingness to obtain a new check) Blue Card (Working with Children Check) National Police Check (within last 6 months) Hope & Healing Certification (or willingness to complete) Current First Aid & CPR QLD Drivers Licence (preferably Opens) Flexibility for rotating rosters (nights weekends public holidays) Why Join SOS Flexible shifts to suit your lifestyle Competitive pay extra hours available Professional development & training (including Supervision and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training) Supportive team culture with 24 / 7 on-call support No use of your own vehicle on shift How to Apply Send us your resume and a one-page cover letter addressing the key responsibilities.
