About the role This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small, high‑performing team and shape workforce policy across NSW Health. As Director Policy, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing innovative workforce policies that impact the largest health system in Australia. You’ll work closely with senior executives and stakeholders to address emerging issues and deliver strategic solutions that foster a safe, healthy, and inclusive workplace. Health Manager level 6, starting salary from $189,878 - $207,381 plus Super, with a 40‑hour work week. What you’ll be doing, includes: Leading and managing a team to develop and implement workforce policies aligned with NSW Health priorities. Providing expert advice on complex policy issues to senior executives and stakeholders. Researching, evaluating, and monitoring policy impacts to inform decision‑making and future planning. Building strong relationships across NSW Health and represent the Ministry on key committees. Overseeing projects and ensuring timely delivery of high‑quality reports, briefs, and cabinet documents. About you Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in HR, industrial relations, or workforce policy. Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects in a fast‑paced environment. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with experience in policy development and evaluation. Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and deliver results under pressure.
