We are now seeking a qualified and experienced ICT Business Analyst with a strong accounting background to join our dynamic team. About the Role The ICT Business Analyst will play a critical role in bridging the gap between our accounting teams and IT systems. This position ensures that technological solutions align with business objectives, compliance requirements, and client needs. The successful candidate will support process automation, digital transformation projects, and system integrations that improve efficiency, accuracy, and client service delivery. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, and a qualification in Accounting or Finance At least two years of professional experience as an ICT Business Analyst, preferably within an accounting, advisory, or financial services firm. Strong understanding of accounting systems and software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, SAP, or similar). Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team or independently with minimal supervision. Daily Duties Liaising with accountants, management, and IT staff to investigate, identify, analyze, and document business processes and system requirements. Evaluating existing financial and accounting systems and identifying opportunities for improvement, automation, and integration. Designing and implementing system solutions that improve data management, reporting accuracy, and workflow efficiency. Working with users to formulate and document business requirements. Translating accounting and compliance requirements into technical specifications for developers and software vendors. Preparing functional and technical documentation, business process models, and data flow diagrams. Identifying and evaluating inefficiencies and recommending optimal business practices and system functionality. Testing and validating system enhancements, upgrades, and new accounting software modules to ensure alignment with business objectives. Providing user training and support to accounting and administrative staff on new systems or processes. Conducting data analysis and developing reports to support management decision‑making. Coordinating with software providers for ongoing system maintenance, customization, and support. Ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with Australian accounting and data protection regulations. Why Join Us?
