Overview Business Development Executive - Gartner for Medium Sized Enterprise. Our Business Development teams play a critical role in expanding Gartner’s presence across the global market. Gartner Business Development Executives strategically acquire new clients by cultivating trust-based relationships with C-level executives to understand their mission critical priorities and uncover opportunities to deliver client-value through the lens of the industry in which they operate. Gartner Business Developers drive the full sales cycle, from identifying prospects to closure and transition of new accounts to the account management team. We focus on building trust-based, value-add relationships with clients, delivering long-term client value, and growing their book of business. You will operate in a territory of Mid-Size Enterprise prospects, which may include new prospects or existing Gartner clients. Clients of the Mid-Size Enterprise sales team have up to $1 billion in annual revenue. What you will do Seek out and drive new business opportunities with new-to-Gartner organizations across your territory, from initial client outreach to close, targeting Mid-Size Enterprise C-level stakeholders. Convert viable prospects into active Gartner clients, owning the full sales conversation and negotiation, through to the transition of new clients to the account management team. Align the right combination of insight, guidance and practical tools to bring value to the partnership. Continually build a pipeline of high-quality opportunities to deliver against sales metrics and KPIs. Hold quota responsibility for your assigned territory and manage complex high-revenue sales across matrix and diverse business environments. Own forecasting and account planning on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis. What you will need 1+ years’ B2B sales experience, preferably in complex, intangible sales environments. Some business development or “hunting” experience in a selling role is highly desired. Experience selling to and/or influencing C-level executives. Proven track record meeting and exceeding sales targets and forecasting a complex sales process. Willingness to reside within a commutable distance to Gartner Centers of Excellence in Fort Myers, FL; Irving, TX; Barcelona, Spain; London, England; Gurgaon, India; Singapore; Sydney, Australia. Bachelor's degree desired. Hybrid Work Model Gartner operates a hybrid work environment with virtual work and in-office days as needed.
