Love what you do and leave your mark Australias most recognised brands Role can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne Are you an experienced Senior Regulatory Lawyer looking for a challenging and rewarding role providing strategic legal advice across complex and dynamic industries We have an exceptional permanent opportunity for a commercially astute senior lawyer to join our General Counsel - Regulatory Brand & Customer Experience team. This role is crucial in supporting our diverse group of businesses including Dan Murphys BWS ALH Hotels Pinnacle Drinks and various corporate functions. This role offers a superb platform to leverage your specialist legal and business partnering skills and commercial acumen to provide both strategic and day-to-day advice and support across a range of vital regulatory matters. You will primarily focus on AML / CTF liquor gaming and tobacco regulatory requirements across Victoria South Australia Western Australia and Tasmania with scope for other jurisdictions as business needs dictate. Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role Provide expert advice on the application of relevant laws and regulations within retail liquor hospitality and gaming environments. Manage compliance enforcement matters investigations and resolution strategies representing the organisation where necessary. Develop a trusted legal advisor status with key stakeholders (including gaming compliance operations and licensing teams) to ensure cohesive legal strategies and offer practical solutions to complex regulatory challenges. Drive effective regulator relationship management with key regulatory bodies. Engage in people management acting as the line manager for at least one direct report.
