People & Culture Advisor

We’re looking for an experienced and confident HR Advisor with strong Employee Relations (ER) knowledge to join our People & Culture team. This is a hands‑on role supporting leaders and employees across the business by providing practical advice, delivering consistent HR processes, and managing casework with professionalism and fairness. This role suits someone who enjoys a mix of HR advisory work, investigations, operational support, compliance, and continuous improvement — and who thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Some interstate travel may be required for this role. Your Impact ER Advisory & Case Management Provide timely, accurate advice on a wide range of ER matters, including performance management, disciplinary processes, misconduct, absenteeism, grievances, and conflict resolution. Manage ER cases end‑to‑end — documentation, investigations, interviews, reporting, and outcomes — ensuring compliance with Fair Work Act, Awards, NES, and internal policies. Coach and support leaders in applying consistent and fair ER practices. Prepare clear documentation including investigation notes, outcome letters, improvement plans, and formal warnings. HR Advisory & Support Partner with leaders to support workforce planning, team dynamics, and day‑to‑day HR challenges. Guide managers on probation reviews, performance discussions, development plans, and general HR processes. Support organisational changes such as restructures, consultation processes, and role transitions. Compliance, Audits & Systems Ensure consistent and compliant application of policies, procedures, Awards, and EBAs across the business. Conduct compliance checks and contribute to HR audits and reporting. Maintain accurate employee records and support improvements to HR systems and digital tools. Recruitment & Onboarding (as needed) Support recruitment activities by partnering with leaders, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews. Assist with onboarding and induction processes when required. Payroll & HR Administration Conduct payroll checks and validate HR‑related data (allowances, timesheets, contracts, letters, etc). Prepare presentations, reports, and workforce insights to support People & Culture initiatives. Culture, Engagement & Projects Support engagement and wellbeing initiatives. Contribute to HR projects, process improvements, and P&C strategic priorities. What You’ll Bring 3+ years’ experience in an HR Advisor or ER‑focused role. Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including Fair Work Act, NES, Awards, and EBAs. Proven experience managing ER casework with confidence and professionalism. Strong communication and influencing skills — able to coach leaders at all levels. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prepare high‑quality documentation, reports, and presentations. Experience working in fast‑paced environments; manufacturing, engineering or industrial sectors are desirable. Discretion, empathy, and the highest level of confidentiality. A proactive mindset with the ability to adapt quickly and support multiple priorities.
