Over the years, we've expanded our repertoire and now deliver high-quality training in hospitality, training and assessment, active volunteering, business, career development, and personal development across Queensland and, when called upon, beyond. Thanks to our continued growth (we do love a success story), we are now looking for experienced, engaging, and positively sparkling Trainers to join our school-based Hospitality Programs: SIT20322 Certificate II in Hospitality SIT30622 Certificate III in Hospitality SIT20122 Certificate II in Tourism If you adore the joy of service, thrive in front-of-house environments, and light up a classroom like a well-placed chandelier — read on. What do you need to be considered? Qualifications TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment , or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment , or A higher-level qualification in adult education (Diploma, Graduate Diploma etc.) Requirements Relevant industry qualifications , including coffee and RSA A minimum of 3-5 years of hospitality industry experience is required Current, hands‑on front-of-house experience — coffee, RSA, customer service… you know the drill We adore chefs, but this role is not a kitchen gig. Blue Card (or willingness to obtain) In addition, the kind of person we’re seeking is someone who brings: Impeccable organisational flair Clear, confident communication and a warm manner A strong work ethic and reliability we can set our watch by Solid computer literacy Flexibility and a love of travel (across gorgeous North Queensland locations) What you’ll be doing Deliver high-quality training and assessment to High School students — and guide teachers, too Organise and secure hospitality experience venues for VETiS students Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders Support moderation, compliance, and administrative processes (we do adore good documentation) Work closely with the team to uphold best practice across all training delivered. About You A current and diverse background in Hospitality, Front-of-House The ability (and enthusiasm) to travel throughout North QLD A genuine desire to share your industry wisdom with young people Strong computer and written communication skills Excellent time-management and the ability to juggle priorities — with grace, of course A fast‑paced mindset that thrives in a dynamic environment The Essentials Hours, wages, and conditions will be discussed at interview — we do love a good chat about the details. You must be based in Cairns for this role and have a well‑set‑up home office. Travel is part of the adventure, so you’ll need your own reliable car and a clean driver’s licence.
