Lifeline's Crisis Supporters are vital to our work in providing crisis support and suicide prevention services. Become a volunteer Lifeline Crisis Supporter with Lifeline Northern Beaches in Balgowlah. Eligibility and selection criteria apply. Crisis Supporters must undergo Lifeline's Nationally Recognised Training course, Crisis Supporter Workplace Training (CSWT), which is based on adult learning principles and experiential learning. The Crisis Supporter Workplace Training is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge they require to undertake the crisis supporter role. Our next volunteer training intake is open and accepting applications a student contribution to course fees is required. Eligibility Criteria Do you live within the Local Government areas of Mosman, Northern Beaches or the following suburbs Kirribilli, Cremorne, or Neutral Bay? Are you able to commit to 3 months of course work (about 7 hours per week), followed by 11 months on the job training. Are you able to commit to a minimum of one four-hour phone shift per fortnight for two years post training? Willingness to complete a Working with Children Check and a Criminal History Check. Australian or NZ Citizen or have a permanent resident VISA. More information and links to apply for this role is provided in a return email that you will receive when submitting interest here. Please look out for this email. Please note that we cannot provide a reference or certificate that states that you have completed the training, until you have become an Accredited Crisis Supporter.
