We are looking for a FOH Supervisor / Shift Manager to join our small, growing team. Join our tight‑knit team at Bears Wine Bar in North Melbourne in this unique opportunity to work closely with ownership in a hands‑on role where you can rock the floor and sling some awesome beverage and food. About the role: Oversee and run both day and evening shifts with confidence Manage bookings, seating flow and guest experience using OpenTable Lead a small FOH team, set the pace and support newer staff Maintain smooth service standards and a calm, warm floor presence Work closely with us on service rhythms, wine list changes and guest experience Handle basic end‑of‑night procedures and shift reports What we’re looking for: Strong FOH experience in a quality‑focused venue Confident in leading a small team and running a room A genuine passion for wine — not just drinking it, but understanding it WSET 3+, sommelier experience or equivalent wine knowledge is a major plus Someone who values calm, warm, guest‑first hospitality Comfortable balancing service flow, hosting, and team support What we offer: $60–70k (commensurate with experience) A venue where wine knowledge and curiosity are genuinely valued Opportunities to grow with us as the venue evolves A tight, friendly team and a great neighbourhood crowd If this sounds like you, we’d love to chat.
