Discover a career where care goes both ways Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time Location: Bathurst Monday to Wednesday: Macquarie Care, Bathurst Thursday & Friday: St Catherine’s, Bathurst Pay Rate: $35 – $46.50 per hour (depending on experience) + superannuation + Not For Profit Benefits Not-for-profit employer, so pay less tax About The Role Catholic Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pastoral Care Coordinator to deliver spiritual and pastoral support to residents, clients, families, and employees across our Bathurst and St Catherine’s homes. You will play a vital role in ensuring residents have choice in maintaining their cultural and spiritual wellbeing, while supporting mission formation activities and upholding safety and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities Provide personal spiritual support and pastoral care services in line with Catholic Healthcare’s mission. Prepare and lead prayers, reflections, and worship activities, including end-of-life and palliative care support. Support employees through mission formation activities and professional development. Facilitate visits from ministers of various faith groups and maintain reflective spaces such as chapels and prayer rooms. Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality and respect for all residents and families. About You To succeed in this role, you will bring: Certificate III/IV in Pastoral Care, or similar qualifications in theology/spirituality. Warm and empathetic interpersonal skills with the ability to support people from diverse backgrounds. Strong knowledge of the Catholic faith, particularly in aged care and dignity of life. Experience in residential aged care or home care settings. Excellent time-management skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
