Wyndham Park Community Centre – Werribee VIC Saturday Community Activation Volunteer – Saturday, 9:30am‑1:30pm (or slightly flexible) Overview Wyndham Park Community Shed & Tool Library, located within Wyndham Park Community Centre, is seeking a passionate and community‑minded volunteer to activate engaging shed‑based activities on Saturdays for families and others. This dynamic role combines hands‑on creativity, sustainability, and community connection. Key Duties Assist with setting up and running Saturday Shed activities. Help coordinate and support volunteer workshop presenters and trainers. Promote upcoming events and activities (in person and online). Manage basic bookings, sign‑ins, and participant communications. Provide a friendly and welcoming environment for all shed users. Take part in or support hands‑on activities such as gardening, small repairs, or demonstrations. Collaborate with staff and other volunteers to improve programs. Skills and Experience Needed Strong communication and people skills. Friendly, reliable, and community‑minded. Interest or experience in DIY, sustainability, gardening, or craft (or willingness to learn). Basic organisation or event coordination experience – advantage. Social media or photography skills helpful, but not required. What is a Tool Library? Tool Libraries give community members access to tools and equipment for a low annual membership fee. The goal is to reduce waste, promote sharing, and support skill‑building. About Us The Wyndham Park Community Shed and Tool Library is a vibrant hub of community activity, located within Wyndham Park Community Centre. Commitment & Time Regular – more than 6 months, every Saturday 9:30am–1:30pm (except public holidays). Must be available Saturdays, ideally between 9:30am and 1:30pm (public activities initially 10am–1pm, but can expand in future). Training Training can be provided as necessary to undertake the role.
