Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer ready to energise the future of rail transport? We’re seeking aSenior Electrical Engineer with a strong background intraction power systems to join our nationally recognised Rail Engineering team . This is your opportunity to work on high-impactAC/DC rail electrification projects, supporting clients across the full asset lifecycle from strategic planning to delivery. This role offers the chance to work with leading Rail clients to plan, design, and model traction power solutions that support strategic investment in future rail assets. You’ll be part of a nationally recognised Traction Power Team, known for its technical excellence and collaborative culture. From business case development to delivery, you’ll contribute to complex projects across local, interstate, and international networks supporting clients throughout the entire asset lifecycle and helping them achieve best-for-value outcomes. This role is based in Sydney, New South Wales, however applicants in other locations are encouraged to apply as we have requirements across Australia. You will: Design and coordinate traction power systems and infrastructure Prepare and reviewtechnical reports, feasibility studies, and protection studies Develop and maintain strong client relationships Engage inAC/DC traction electrification designand substation design Mentor junior engineers and manage design packages and teams Contribute totender proposalsand understand client requirements ApplyHV/LV earth grid designprinciples and safety standards You will have: Bachelor’s degree inElectrical & Electronics or Power Engineering Minimum6 years’ experiencein detailed traction power supply engineering design Strong background inHigh Voltage and Low Voltage systems, including earth grid design Experience withSydney Trains and/or Transport for NSWprojects Proficiency in software such asPSCAD, MATLAB, ETAP, DiaLux, Opentrak, OpenPowerNet(preferred) In-depth knowledge ofIEC/EN/ASA/AS/AMB standards Site exposure on traction electrification works (preferred) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work autonomously and manage scope effectively Imagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.
