This position is a clinical, leadership, supervisory, education and strategic role and offers the opportunity to work with a variety of clinical specialties. What You’ll be Doing The Adult Team Leader position is responsible for leading, guiding and line managing a team of adult clinical dietitians within the Dietetics Department at Camden and Campbelltown Hospitals. The position is also responsible for supporting the Head of Department/Deputy Head of Department in managing and leading the Dietetics Department. Providing patient‑centred and high‑quality nutrition services to clients in Camden and Campbelltown Hospitals, including applying high‑level clinical skills to patients as per clinical caseload/clinical specialty. This role also involves student supervision and clinical supervision of Dietitians as appropriate. The successful candidate will provide leadership in quality improvement, service development and evaluation, education and training, and support educational activities related to their discipline/clinical expertise. You will also support the Head of Department/Deputy Head of Department with advice on clinical service development, practice and redesign in response to demand and client needs, and advocate across the local health district. Where You’ll Be Working Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals, part of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, work together to provide comprehensive healthcare services to the Macarthur region. Campbelltown Hospital offers a wide range of services including cardiology, maternity, palliative care, respiratory medicine, emergency medicine, and aged‑care services. It also features specialised mental health and cancer facilities. Camden Hospital complements these services by specialising in care for older persons with acute or chronic health conditions, including rehabilitation, palliative care, geriatric evaluation and management, and psychogeriatric care. The hospitals share a close‑knitted, community‑focused team dedicated to delivering safe, quality, and compassionate care. The ongoing multi‑million dollar redevelopment at Campbelltown Hospital will further enhance its capabilities, introducing advanced equipment and amenities. Post graduate qualification or Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics as recognized by Dietitians Australia. Extensive clinical experience including demonstrated advanced practice skills and management of a complex adult case load. Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, including group education, advocacy and negotiating skills; and excellent computer skills including a food service/management system e.g. CBORD. Demonstrated experience leading quality improvement activities for service development. Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development and evidence based practice. Demonstrated experience in managing staff performance. Demonstrated skills and experiences in conflict and complaint management.
