Hunter New England Health is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Service Manager to oversee mental health, rehabilitation and inpatient services across the Hunter Valley and Lower Mid North Coast regions. This is an exciting opportunity to provide strategic and operational leadership across inpatient, community, and rehabilitation services – ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and person‑centred care. About the Role Reporting to the Operations Manager of Mental Health Services, you’ll lead a diverse and skilled workforce that includes: Clinical leaders across community teams, acute community care, and inpatient wards A strong and engaged administration team and peer workforce You’ll oversee operations across multiple sites, ensuring the smooth delivery of services, clinical governance, and resource management to meet patient and community needs. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based mental health care Oversee operations and governance across multiple inpatient, rehabilitation, and community settings Drive clinical governance and safety standards in line with NSW Health frameworks Manage human, financial, and physical resources effectively to achieve operational goals Build strong relationships with external partners, including NGOs, Primary Health Networks, councils, and community organisations Support a positive, inclusive culture that values teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement About You You are a strategic and people-focused leader who excels in bringing teams together to deliver meaningful outcomes. You’ll need: Proven leadership experience in a complex health or community setting Strong decision-making skills and adaptability across inpatient and community environments Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities A collaborative approach and commitment to high standards of clinical care and governance Ability to build strong relationships within the local community Why Join Us?
