Deputy Head Pedagogical Innovation (K–12) Prince of Peace Lutheran College is a K‑12 co‑educational, independent Christian school located at Everton Hills in the north‑western suburbs of Brisbane. The College was established in 1984 to provide quality Christian education. The College offers classes across two sites from Kindergarten to Year 12, enrolling approximately 660 students. The Junior Campus (K–6) is located at Rogers Parade West, while the Middle and Senior Campus (Years 7–12) is 1 km away at Henderson Road. This full‑time, 5‑year contract, with generous working conditions, is available for commencement in January 2026. THE ROLE The Deputy Head Pedagogical Innovation (K–12) is a highly visible leader who provides instructional leadership in teaching, learning and academic achievement. This role leads the College’s strategic direction in pedagogy, ensuring a future‑focused, Christ‑centred, evidence‑informed approach and supporting teachers to empower every student. Reporting to the Head of College, the Deputy works closely with the Heads of Campus (Junior and Senior) and the Deputy Heads Junior and Middle/Senior, overseeing pedagogical innovation across Years K–12. SELECTION CRITERIA The questions address key areas including alignment with the College’s mission and Christian ethos, expertise in curriculum development, pedagogical leadership, data literacy, effective communication, visionary leadership, and a strong commitment to fostering a Christ‑centred learning community. What strategies would you implement to foster a Christ‑centred community and build positive relationships with teachers from Kindergarten to Year 12 across both campuses? Please outline your knowledge and understanding of contemporary K–12 curriculum initiatives, and explain how these can be utilised to ensure coherent learning pathways. How have you enhanced pedagogy and improved student outcomes in your previous roles?
