About Us Perth Radiological Clinic (PRC) is WA’s largest private medical imaging provider, with 23 clinics and hospital sites across the state. As WHS Coordinator, you will be a key resource in identifying corrective and preventative actions and coordinate associated action and review plans. The WHS Coordinator will be involved with the design, development, and implementation of innovative site-level activities to improve WHS. Although predominantly based at our Osborne Park office, this position will allow you ad hoc travel on a frequent basis across several PRC sites to engage with stakeholders, provide direct advice and support to PRC staff on all WHS related issues and report on any hazards in a timely manner. Reporting to the Manager Work Health & Safety, your day to day tasks will include but not be limited to: Provide advice to team members and workgroups to ensure compliance to current legislation, regulations and codes of practice are maintained. Be one of the first points of contact for all employees regarding WHS and Injury Management matters. Deliver training regarding systems and processes, to best support improving WHS standards, and provide advice to team members and/or specific business units regarding WHS requirements. Assist in the delivery with all WHS strategic and project initiatives. Assist with the Work Health and Safety Committee including participation and contribution, and ownership of meeting coordination, and taking minutes. Organising and booking WHS training for the organisation. Manage the coordination of required Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs) and Fitness for Work (FFW) cases. Take ownership of WHS induction activities for new team members as required. Ensure hazards and unsafe workplace conditions/practices have been identified, reported, and are actioned. Monitor corrective actions to ensure risks are eliminated, isolated, or minimized. Review MYOSH entries and updating and investigating issues as required. Provide administrative and case management support to the WHS Manager. What do you need to be considered? You must have a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent qualification & a well-rounded understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations. Ideally, you will be self motivated & have the ability to manage multiple tasks in order of urgency with high attention to detail. In addition to this you should demonstrate: Exceptional interpersonal skills to influence others, provide guidance, coaching and intervention as required. Previous experience in internal and external auditing processes. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and its application with proven ability to maintain system and databases. Ability to exercise high degree of initiative, determine priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively and independently of supervision in the achievement of an agreed outcome. Experience in interpreting general health and safety policies and practices including familiarity with current legislation. Experience in Risk Management and understanding of risk management systems. Certificate IV Training and Assessment is desirable however not mandatory. What do we offer?
