Responsibilities include harm‑reduction sessions, long‑term case management, and contributing to a world‑class harm‑reduction program. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates will receive priority consideration as part of our commitment to increasing employment in these communities. What You'll Be Doing Support a self‑determined caseload of voluntary clients to identify and achieve AoD‑related goals. Complete AoD screening/assessment tools and help clients access residential and community‑based support services. Develop Individual Treatment Plans (ITP’s) collaboratively with clients. Support complex clients throughout their treatment plans. Provide harm‑reduction information sessions to at‑risk clients. Provide education and training sessions to Launch Housing staff. Conduct secondary consults to Launch Housing staff and external agencies. Contribute to the ongoing operation of a secondary NSP and a world‑class harm‑reduction program. Key Selection Criteria Relevant tertiary qualification meeting minimum standards for the AOD sector (e.g., Certificate IV in AOD) or willingness to obtain these qualifications. Demonstrated experience in client‑facing human services, social work, or a related discipline, preferably with knowledge of housing and homelessness policy. Understanding of AOD treatments and interventions, including public AOD services. Knowledge of AOD theories, harm minimisation, and problematic substance combinations. Understanding of trauma‑informed practice and the relationship between trauma, substance dependence, and homelessness. High initiative, communication, analytical, organisational and time‑management skills. Experience or training in facilitating group work (desirable). Full Victorian Driver’s Licence (mandatory). Commitment to upholding Child Safe Standards in the workplace. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
