Packing Assistant - Afternoon Shift in Cool Room Join Wonder Pies as a Packing Assistant - Refrigerated Environment (under 5 degrees) Casual | Monday to Friday | No Weekends Location: Coburg North 2 positions available - Afternoon and Night Afternoon Shift time: 11am to 7pm Night Shift Time: 1pm to 9pm Must have rights to work in Australia Can you see yourself working efficiently in a refrigerated environment (under 5 degrees) ? Wonder Pies , founded by renowned Melbourne chef Raymond Capaldi , produces handcrafted deep-pan pies with premium ingredients and traditional techniques. As our production rapidly grows, we're looking for reliable Packing Assistants to join our team at our wholesale facility in Coburg North . About the Role This position includes a paid 4 hours trial period so both you and our team can confirm it's the right fit. Afternoon Shift begins at 11am to 7pm and may run into the late evening depending on production demand. Night Shift begins at 1pm to 9pm and may run into the late night depending on production demand. Own transport is essential , as public transport options may not suit our operating hours. Key Responsibilities Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders. Pack products to exact specifications with care and consistency. Label boxes, organise stock for delivery, and sort orders for dispatch. Maintain cleanliness and follow food safety and hygiene standards. Work efficiently with the team to meet daily production targets in a fast-paced environment. Prefer someone that can operate forklifts. What We're Looking For Previous food packing or commercial food handling experience preferred. Comfortable working in a temperature‑controlled (refrigerated) environment (under 5 degrees). Ability to stand for extended periods and manage physical tasks. Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency. Reliable, punctual, and able to work Monday to Friday . Good communication skills and willingness to learn. Must have reliable transport . Physically capable of lifting and moving products. What We Offer Competitive pay with room for career progression.
