Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Assistant Farm Manager / Supervisor to support the Farm Manager in managing a modern Chicken Farm in Elbow Valley (Warwick, Queensland). Step into a leadership role with Carr Farming, Australia's largest family-owned chicken farm. This is a residential role and requires you to live on site. A modern 4 bed 2 bath house along with capped utilities as part of the package. At Carr Farming we are committed to ethical farming, sustainability and operational excellence. Operating across hectares of prime Darling Down land we lead the industry with RSPCA approved farms. Warwick, located in the Southern Downs region of Queensland, is city known for its rich history and vibrant cultural scene. What We're Looking For Minimum 2 years' experience in a poultry farm management or assistant management / supervisor role Strong leadership skills and experience in managing teams. Understanding of animal welfare and biosecurity protocols. Physically fit and must be comfortable with hands‑on farm work. Strong time management and problem‑solving skills. Basic computer skills and ability to maintain records. Ability to follow RSPCA and WHS protocols. Professional, dependable, and a team player. Why Join Us? Role Responsibilities In this role you will be responsible for farm management with the greatest priority being the welfare of the chickens. You will ensure the facilities are maintained to the highest standard and the site is always immaculately presented, whilst ensuring that the business operates efficiently to deliver agreed performance targets. This role reports directly to the Farm Manager and Operations Manager. Duties include Monitoring and reporting. Creating an environment that drives continuous improvement in all aspects of the farming department, environmental awareness, animal welfare, quality, productivity and safety. Ensuring biosecurity, health and safety, environmental and animal welfare procedures are the highest priority. Using best practice and innovative shed management techniques to ensure optimum bird growing requirements without compromising any animal welfare and processor standards. Always maintaining and presenting the farm and the structures to the highest standards possible. Training, motivating and leading the farming team to achieve quality outcomes in a professional manner. Application Requirements This position requires you to have the right to work in Australia.
