The Opportunity Our client is an aviation technology startup transitioning its battle-tested internal Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) platform into a commercial B2B SaaS solution. The platform integrates real-time data to provide automated risk assessments and compliance for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations. You will report directly to the CEO and lead the transformation of this technical platform into a scalable market-ready product for commercial, medical logistics, and defense sectors. Key Responsibilities Product Strategy: Own the end-to-end roadmap, focusing on AI airspace modeling, emissions tracking, and automated regulatory compliance workflows. Technical Integration: Lead agile sprints to integrate data streams from drone APIs, real-time telemetry, and third-party geospatial datasets. GTM & Commercialization: Partner with Sales and Marketing to define SaaS pricing models, launch beta programs, and manage the transition from internal tool to external product. Discovery & Design: Conduct interviews with operators and regulators to translate complex pain points into MVPs. Performance Tracking: Use metrics (adoption, churn, ROI on risk mitigation) to iterate on features and meet regulatory standards. Required Experience & Skills Experience: 5+ years of Product Management experience in SaaS (ideally within aviation, drones, or geospatial tech). Technical Depth: Proven ability to manage products involving complex data fusion (e.g., ADS‑B, FLARM, or real-time telemetry). Tooling: Proficiency in Jira, Figma, Amplitude, and SQL. Regulation: Understanding of high‑stakes safety environments; experience with BVLOS or UTM ecosystems is highly regarded. Location: Based in Australia (Brisbane preferred), though remote is an option for the right candidate.
