Position Overview: As a Business Development Manager at Metro Express, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Your mission will be to boost sales, broaden our client base, and meet revenue targets. This role requires a strategic thinker who can analyse market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments as well as someone who understands the concept that selling is helping. You will play a pivotal role in growing the business in your state, identifying new opportunities, bringing on new clients with the view that they will be clients for life as well as being the face of Metro Express on the ground. This role is for you if you love to take a consultative approach to selling, get a buzz out of solving people’s problems, are strategic in your work, are a natural communicator and building relationships comes easy to you. About You: A track record of successfully achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth. A deep understanding of logistics and supply chain management within the transportation sector. If you don’t have this knowledge, you are willing and open to learn and embrace how we operate and to understand our products. Sound practical knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office and CRMs. You are committed to using a CRM daily. You take a consultative and helpful approach when you sell. You think outside the box to come up with solutions to complicated client requirements. Strong level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact and work with clients and the internal team. A preparedness to learn our business and products. Ability to work unsupervised; accept responsibility and act on directives. Self-motivated, highly efficient, proactive and professional. You are the most productive and effective person you know, your ability to produce results is your greatest asset. You love a challenge and thrive in a fast paced and busy environment and are self driven. You are a people person and are often the one that others come to for advice and support. A valid driver's license and a willingness to travel as needed. A sense of humour that adds a splash of positivity to the workplace Your Responsibilities Will Include: Achieving all sales and activity targets. Prospecting and cultivating new business within the state. Identifying and targeting potential clients to establish new business relationships. Collaborating with the National Sales Team to create promotional campaigns and materials that enhance our company's visibility. Participating in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and showcase our services. Skillfully negotiate rates, contracts, and agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms. Keeping a close watch on industry trends and staying up to date with changes and developments in the transportation sector. Working closely with the State Managers and the operations teams to ensure a seamless onboarding service delivery and customer satisfaction. Leveraging the CRM to document activities related to pipeline, opportunities, and successful deals.
