Ovarian Cancer Australia (OCA) is the peak organisation for ovarian cancer in Australia, dedicated to supporting women and families affected by ovarian cancer, advocating for greater awareness, and driving research and policy change. OCA is seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead it to the next level of growth and impact.The CEOwill fine tune and implement OCA’s strategic vision and objectives, driving growth and development across government, corporate, and community sectors. The CEO will enhance OCA’s profile, reach, and impact, ensuring sustainable financial growth.Key Responsibilities:Lead and motivate staff to foster a culture of cooperation, collaboration, and shared accountability.Act as a highly visible spokesperson and public face of OCA, representing it at events, meetings, conferences, public forums, and in the media.Establish and monitor the financial performance of OCA with the Senior Leadership Team.Ensure adherence to governance, legal, and audit requirements.Source additional funding from community, government, trusts, foundations, and corporations.Explore new funding models including social enterprise and investment.Shape and manage the implementation of OCA’s strategic plan in consultation with the Senior Leadership Team and the Board.Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including research and advisory committees, cancer organisations, and government bodies.Utilise existing and new networks to source additional funding.Advocate for OCA to state and federal governments and their agencies.Provide strategic advice to the Board of Directors.Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and OCA policies.Coordinate the preparation of board papers for board meetings.Skills, Experience, Attributes, and Qualifications:Over 7 years of experience as a respected leader in the not-for-profit, government, or corporate sectors.High-level leadership and motivational skills, coupled with empathy for the women supported by OCA, and the staff who care for those women.Proven strategic management abilities and a record of organisational success.Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with diverse stakeholders.Highly developed advocacy and negotiation skills.Proven track record in fundraising from government, corporate, trusts, and foundations.Extensive experience in budgeting, financial management, and analysis.Knowledge and experience of the cancer sector is desirable but not essential.Commitment to the vision, mission, and values of OCA.How to Apply:
