THE ROLE This is a full-time ongoing opportunity for an experienced HR Professional to join our corporate services team at our Central Office and Shortland Campus. Reporting to the Executive Director & Company Secretary, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality human resource services across the College. This is a hands‑on, multi‑faceted HR role that combines coordination, advisory support, coaching, HR compliance, performance management, and learning and development. You will work closely with leaders and staff to ensure a positive, professional and safe workplace where people are supported to perform at their best. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Providing timely HR advice to staff and supervisors on employment conditions, policy interpretation and HR processes. Coordinating recruitment, onboarding and workforce transitions end‑to‑end. Supporting performance management, capability development and annual review processes. Coordinating professional development (planned and unplanned), including mandatory training and learning pathways. Maintaining HR compliance registers (WWCC, Police Checks, licences, mandatory training). Supporting employee relations matters at an early stage and assisting with investigations where appropriate. Maintaining HR systems, records, contracts, payroll changes and documentation. Preparing workforce analytics, HR reports and dashboards. Contributing to HR policy development, continuous improvement and organisational capability uplift. ABOUT YOU You are an experienced and proactive HR Professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment. You combine attention to detail with strong interpersonal skills, and you enjoy supporting people and leaders across a diverse organisation. REQUIREMENTS Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related field. Experience in HR coordination or advisory roles. Understanding of employment legislation, NES, and industrial instruments. Strong communication, relationship‑building and coaching skills. Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. High‑level organisation and administrative capabilities. A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous learning. Affinity with the values and ethos of the Uniting Church in Australia. Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC), National Police Certificate and NSW Driver’s Licence. WHY JOIN US?
