Port Pacific Resort is a fully independent apartment accommodation provider in the beautiful coastal town of Port Macquarie. Due to retirement, we have a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join our family as a casual Resort Maintenance Officer in a small maintenance team. Reporting to the Resort Manager or Maintenance Supervisor, your role includes, but is not limited to: hands‑on approach to hotel maintenance operations, emergency procedures, OH&S basic understanding of maintenance for varying machinery, plant, equipment, fittings, fixtures and actively engaging in repairs and maintenance tasks when needed maintenance of guest rooms and public areas, furnishings, fixtures, equipment, pools and air conditioning provide a fast, friendly and efficient service for maintenance requests working weekends and night shifts on a rotating roster with the maintenance team The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria, though plenty of on‑the‑job training will be undertaken: previous experience in a similar role advantage trade qualification highly regarded but not essential strong team player who can also work autonomously calm and professional demeanour who works well under pressure physically fit to enable the undertaking of the duties of this very hands‑on role hold a valid full Australian driving licence proactive and conscientious person with exemplary attendance record; learning will be part of the role and a great opportunity to grow existing or new trade skills Click on ‘Apply for this job’ and send your resume and a cover letter explaining why you are the best person for this role.
