The Manager Portfolio Risk sets the Fund’s investment risk appetite and ensures it is implemented effectively The role oversees and assesses risk approaches and models and leads the development of bespoke portfolio risk models The role ensures the integration of risks into decision‑making and governance practice through ongoing monitoring and reporting. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and maintenance of a comprehensive portfolio risk appetite and management framework, ensuring the inclusion of the framework into related policies and procedures Develop a comprehensive framework for measuring and assessing portfolio risk characteristics across multiple timeframes, portfolio objectives and risk management methodologies Integrate risk analysis and assessment into portfolio strategy development and decision‑making Risk reporting, performance assessment and portfolio insights through the synthesis of internal and external risk systems Develop bespoke models to identify and assess risk drivers, analyse risk sensitivities and complement other risk models in targeted areas Translate technical and complex information concisely for diverse audiences. Knowledge/Skills/Experience Programming experience in Excel, VBA and Python. Solid understanding of Portfolio Construction and Portfolio risk. Experience using various risk models and a sound understanding of approaches to analysing, processing and reporting on strategic risks in an institutional investment portfolio. Relevant tertiary and post‑graduate qualifications in Finance, Maths, Statistics or Economics. If you are interested in the role please apply via this advertisement.
