You’ll lead functional assessments and coordinate rapid interventions for frail older adults, empowering safe, timely discharges and seamless transitions of care. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you’ll contribute to early assessment, home-based follow-up, and training initiatives that uplift clinical capability across the region. This temporary role until 2027 offers the chance to innovate and influence best practice in emergency aged care. Apply now About us The Gladstone and Banana Allied Health Clinical Network consists of six on site Health Practitioner professions: Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Psychology and Social Work. In addition to the generalist services provided, the Allied Health professions provide two targeted service areas, namely developmental paediatrics and cancer care. About the role The Occupational Therapist Senior will deliver an innovative, integrated, high quality and evidenced-based model of care for frail older patients with complex health care needs presenting to the Emergency Department of the Gladstone Hospital. About you The successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy qualification from a recognised tertiary institution. Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
