Como Park Childcare and Kindergarten – Lilydale VIC We are seeking a passionate and motivated additional Early Childhood Teacher to join our established Team. Key Elements of the Role The Early Childhood (Kindergarten) Teacher is an essential member of the Early Learning team in the delivery of our Funded Children's Program in the Kindergarten community. The Early Childhood (Kindergarten) Teacher will work together to deliver a kindergarten program to children aged 3‑5 years, collaborating with fellow educators, families, and a supportive team to enrich children so they can reach their full potential and confidently step into their future. We require a strong commitment to pedagogical excellence and innovation in the Early Childhood field. The role should facilitate a child's capacity to engage in a safe, secure, nurturing, and educational environment, especially in the two years prior to the start of formal schooling. The children's needs, interests and opportunities for learning and wonder are the focal point of the Como Park philosophy and program delivery, and our Early Childhood (Kindergarten) Teachers are key to our success. Responsibilities include ensuring the kindergarten meets the requirements of the DET Preschool Program Policy, funding criteria, the Education and Care Services National Regulations, and the policies and procedures of Como Park. Knowledge and Experience Excellent knowledge, skills and understanding of the National Quality Framework. Previous experience in an Early Childhood education role and a commitment to ongoing learning, professional development, and reflective practice. Personal Attributes Passion and enthusiasm for working with young children, delivering a program aligned with current pedagogies. Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, including the ability to delegate, prioritise, and ensure a consistently high‑quality service experience for all children and families. Qualifications Mandatory Pre‑Requisite Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood or equivalent (Right to work in Australia). CPR certification. Ability to manage anaphylaxis. Asthma management knowledge. Work Details 30‑37.5 hours per week (negotiable). 6 weeks annual leave. Generous professional development program alongside school readiness funding. Rotating shifts, including opening and closing responsibilities. Bi‑monthly staff meetings and leadership meetings. Work remotely: No. Job type: Part‑time. Employee mentoring program.
