Job Title Cleaning Services Assistant – New Lambton Heights (NSW Health) Overview Employment type: Casual. Position classification: Hospital Assistant Grade 2. Remuneration: $ per hour plus shift allowances and 11.5% superannuation. Location: John Hunter Hospital. HealthShare NSW is seeking a compassionate and dedicated cleaner to play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and well‑being of patients in our hospital. Responsibilities Uphold a superior standard of cleaning services in both patient and non‑patient areas. Adhere to infection control procedures. Conduct waste removal. Undertake infectious cleaning in designated areas. Assist patients and staff to maintain a clean and safe environment. Eligibility & Requirements Candidates must have Australian work rights (citizens, permanent residents, or valid work visa). Permanent roles are open to Australian citizens and permanent residents, while temporary and casual roles welcome applicants with a visa. This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and tuberculosis (TB) screening. Refer to NSW Health OASV Policy (Page 12) for a complete list of required vaccines.
