Clinical Trials Coordinator Join to apply for the Clinical Trials Coordinator role at The George Institute for Global Health Pay Range A$83,500.00/yr - A$87,000.00/yr Work in our new purpose-built location in the Health Translation Hub, Randwick, NSW Contract ending 30th September 2030 Hybrid working environment (2 days per week in the office) Opportunity We have a unique opportunity for a Clinical Trials Coordinator to support biomarker-focused research within our Critical Care Program. The Clinical Trials Coordinator role involves coordinating biospecimen collection from sites, processing/sending/receiving tracking data integrity, ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards, and facilitating collaboration between clinical and laboratory teams across multiple study sites. It will also involve planning, coordinating and implementing research activities that involve biospecimen collection. Key Responsibilities and Duties Assist in the development and execution of project plans, timelines, and milestones relative to the Biomarker research Coordinate biospecimen collection and processing across participating sites Maintain accurate biomarker project documentation, including sample library, locations, logs Develop SOPs that ensure maintaining best practices related to biomarker management Liaise with ICU clinicians, laboratory staff, and external collaborators Provide regular updates to the Project Managers Establish and maintain effective relationships with central laboratories, biobanks, and specialty testing vendors Skills, Knowledge and Experience Tertiary qualification in a health, science or a qualification in research methods or laboratory sciences or research discipline or a combination of relevant experience and/or education/training Knowledge of critical care workflows and ICU patient populations Experience applying for ethics and governance approvals for biobank/biomarker studies Experience with single/multiple sites research projects Sample management services and logistics Competence in electronic data capture systems (e.g., REDCap or relevant CTMS) Interest in translational research and biomarker discovery Excellent time management and organisational skills Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, and the Internet Strong skills in documentation, data accuracy and quality systems Ability to work autonomously, in small teams and with a wide range of stakeholders Strong focus on attention to detail, quality of work and maintenance of excellent records Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing organisational priorities and ambiguous environments Flexibility to work non‑standard hours of work for collaboration and contact with global teams based on requirements of the position Minimum 2 years of relevant post‑graduation experience in science, research methods, laboratory sciences, or clinical trials management Minimum 3 years of sample management experience Good understanding of medical terminology Familiarity with REDCap data management system or relevant CTMS Experience with biospecimen governance, including consent processes and ethical considerations Cover Letter Requirements Experience in Clinical Research: Please detail your experience in clinical trials, including specific roles and responsibilities you have held relevant to this position.
