Our work protects the integrity of the industry, strengthens its long‑term sustainability, and delivers value to local communities. We are proud to be an organisation upheld by our values of Respect, Accountability, Connection and Excellence. Job Description About the Role We are seeking an experienced Corporate Communications Manager to join our Corporate Affairs division. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for shaping and delivering strategic communication initiatives that strengthen RWWA’s reputation, elevate our brand, and deepen engagement with key stakeholders across WA and beyond. You will also hold leadership responsibility for the Internal Communications Officer and play a key role in crafting RWWA’s major strategic publications, including the Annual Report. This is an ideal opportunity for a communications professional with strong leadership capability, excellent stakeholder skills, and the ability to operate confidently in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute communication strategies that promote organisational initiatives and enhance external visibility. Oversee community grant processes and support outreach programmes. Strengthen relationships with racing participants, community groups and government stakeholders. Monitor public sentiment and provide strategic advice to support brand positioning. About You You are a strategic communicator with exceptional judgement, strong writing and storytelling skills, and the ability to influence at all levels. You thrive in a busy environment, can balance multiple priorities, and bring a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset. Qualifications A degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field. 5+ years’ experience in communications, PR or media relations. Demonstrated experience developing and delivering strategic communication plans. Strong media relations capability and confidence in managing issues. Experience leading people and contributing to a strong team culture. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure. Additional Information Why Join Us?
