Position Purpose: Senior CNC Machining Operative for Aerospace Manufacturing As a Senior CNC Machining Operative, you’ll focus on hands‑on production and play a key role in optimizing processes within our aerospace manufacturing operations. This position involves operating 5‑axis CNC machines, supporting other CNC machinists, and achieving project output targets consistently. Key Responsibilities of Senior CNC Machining Operatives Daily Production Leadership and Oversight In this senior role, you will lead daily production activities, managing a team of CNC operators to meet aerospace manufacturing targets. You will handle advanced 4 and 5‑axis machining centers with Heidenhain and Fanuc controls, ensuring components meet strict defense and aerospace industry standards. Maintaining Delivery in Full On Time (DIFOT) for Aerospace Projects You will actively monitor machining processes to maintain our DIFOT KPI, implementing rapid recovery plans when necessary to meet aerospace project deadlines. Quality Control and Assurance for CNC Manufacturing You will enforce rigorous quality standards, ensure defect‑free components, and address any non‑conforming products within the aerospace manufacturing process. Leading Continuous Improvement in Aerospace Production Your role includes driving continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing production efficiency across all machining processes. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance in Aerospace Operations You will ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining a safe working environment in all manufacturing areas.
