Snapshot of the role Determine the fixtures and cutting tools necessary to complete jobs according to specifications Loading and unloading large tools from rack using heavy duty forklift Loading programs into CNC machines Loading workpieces into the machine Entering initial settings (e.g., Machine referencing and selecting correct programs) Monitoring machining operations Intervening in the event of malfunctions, breakdowns, and machining errors Finishing workpieces and performing quality control checks Performing minor maintenance tasks to ensuring CNC machines function correctly Performing deburring operation on machined parts. What we are looking for Trade Certificate in Fitter Machinist or similar Familiarity with interpreting CNC software 5-axis CNC milling machining experience will be highly regarded Good mechanical aptitude with an understanding of machining processes Aerospace and/or automotive industry experience preferred, although Tooling, Defence, Manufacturing, Jobbing or Marine industry experience will be considered A practical working knowledge of machining carbon or fiberglass composites, aluminium or reinforced plastic parts would be advantageous Right attitude towards continuous improvement and developing skills to achieve cross training Who we are For over two decades, we have enabled people to do great things in Aerospace globally.
