With a collaborative engineering culture and strong cloud partnerships, the company is expanding globally and seeking a Databricks Architect to help design and lead the delivery of modern data platforms. About the role As a Databricks Architect, you will lead the design and implementation of advanced data architectures across large-scale transformation programs. You will work closely with cloud, data, and engineering teams to define and deliver scalable solutions on Databricks and major cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. This role requires a balance of hands‑on technical expertise and strong client‑facing consulting ability. You’ll act as both a technical expert and strategic advisor, ensuring that solutions are aligned to business needs and built for long‑term scalability. Key responsibilities Design and implement data platforms and pipelines using Databricks technologies including Delta Lake, Spark, MLflow, and Unity Catalog Lead architectural discussions and guide technical teams through design, implementation, and optimisation Work with cloud engineering teams to ensure architectures align with platform best practices on Azure, AWS, or GCP Define and enforce governance, performance, and security standards across projects Translate complex business problems into technical solutions and provide thought leadership to clients Support pre‑sales and solutioning efforts by contributing to proposals and technical designs Coach delivery teams and ensure high‑quality outcomes in multi‑cloud and enterprise‑scale environments Requirements Proven experience as a Data Architect, Solution Architect, or Lead Data Engineer with deep Databricks expertise (certified) Strong practical experience with PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake, Databricks ML, and Unity Catalog Demonstrated experience designing and implementing data solutions on Azure, AWS, or GCP Knowledge of data modelling, ELT/ETL design, and modern orchestration tools such as Airflow or dbt Deep knowledge and experience of data modelling techniques (Inmon, Data Vault, Kimball) Understanding of data governance, CI/CD, and DevOps principles for data platforms Excellent stakeholder management and consulting skills, ideally gained within a professional services or consulting environment Relevant Databricks or cloud certifications will be highly regarded Why apply This is an opportunity to join a fast-scaling consultancy at the forefront of cloud and data transformation.
