Main duties of the job Interventional radiology procedures are performed on a Philips Azurion 7 system in the main imaging department and we also have Philips Allura Clarity equipment dedicated to interventional procedures in a hybrid theatre suite. Job responsibilities This role is eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route. Sponsorship can only be provided where applicants meet the specific requirements set by UKVI, including the relevant skill and salary thresholds, and any role-specific criteria. The Radiographer will be expected to work as a core member of the Interventional Radiology team at the Royal Sussex County Hospital (RSCH) site. The radiographer will need to be able to undertake a wide range of clinical duties to provide a high quality imaging service and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients, encouraging and supporting colleagues to do so also. To ensure the department delivers an exemplary service and experience to patients and members of the public. To ensure departmental adherence to Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IR(ME)R) 2017 and Ionising Radiation Regulations (IRR) 2017, and the Trusts policies, protocols and guidelines. Actively participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, both within Imaging and outside of the department. Support the Superintendent Radiographers to ensure the day to day running of the Interventional Radiology and Neuro Interventional Radiology Departments are smoothly co-ordinated. The post-holder will be expected to participate in the 7-day extended day and out-of-hours (OOH) rotas, providing a high standard of emergency service for the Royal Sussex County Hospital. This post also has a commitment to some weekend shifts as part of core working hours. Person Specification Training, HCPC registration and NHS experience HCPC registration Previous NHS experience Experience in trauma and A&E plain film radiography Experience in general radiography including plain film, mobile, theatres and fluoroscopy Working at UH Sussex Mentions specifics of working at UHS/RSCH Evidence of providing patient-focused care Understanding of Patient First Trust Values Evidence of team working within Imaging Evidence of working in a wider multidisciplinary team Safety Awareness of IR(ME)R 2017 Awareness of IRR 2017 Awareness of Health and Safety (RIDDOR, COSHH, Health and Safety at Work Act etc.) Modality experience Experienced radiographer- at least 12 months qualified Experience in IR Experience in Neuro Imaging Experience in cross-sectional Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues Evidence of having championed diversity in previous roles (as appropriate to role).
