About the Role We currently have an opportunity for a Safety & Coordinator role to support the WHS team, reporting to the Safety & Risk Manager. You will be based at our Seven Hills site and will also be required to travel to other sites including Lithgow. The Safety & Training Coordinator is responsible for providing advice, guidance and support to foster a positive WHS culture, enabling Access Industries to meet its obligations to provide a safe and healthy workplace while minimising and managing risks. This role supports the development and implementation of safe work practices, reporting of hazards and identification of corrective/preventative actions including coordinating follow‑up review and action plans. Key Responsibilities Responsible for legislative compliance with workplace health & safety requirements in your area Report all incidents/accidents and any equipment breakdown to the immediate manager at site and assist with corrective action Complete detailed risk assessments and recommend corrective or preventative measures where indicated Investigate workplace accidents and prepare necessary reports Monitor, periodically inspect and maintain First Aid and safety equipment Conduct risk assessments and develop safe work practices Assess equipment and machinery and provide feedback on suitability for employees Assist with the induction of new employees Assist in identifying and co‑ordinating staff training requirements when required Serve as designated Return to Work Coordinator Manage workers compensation claims and non‑work‑related injuries to facilitate early return to work Compile and analyse WH&S statistics, prepare associated reports and recommendations in required time frames To be successful in this role you will need Min 2‑3 years of WHS experience in blue‑collar or manufacturing worksites (preferred) Relevant WHS qualifications, min Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or equivalent Thorough understanding of applicable WHS legislation Demonstrated experience and competence in assessment of individual training needs and delivery of training Current certificate in first aid and competence in emergency procedures following incidents Customer focused with high attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting Current driver's license and willingness to travel to multiple sites (when required) Note Initially the role is being offered as a 12‑month contract, full‑time hours with the possibility of extension of the contract or the role being made permanent in the future.
