You’ll design and scale the systems that ensure we can consistently match researcher demand with high-quality participants - even across fragmented, highly specialised niches. Respondent is building the infrastructure that powers participant recruiting for the research industry. Our mission is simple but ambitious: to make it effortless for researchers to find high-quality human participants - whether they’re testing a product, exploring a market, or validating an idea. From our founder’s first recruits on a NYC subway to a global panel of 3 million participants across 150+ countries, we now support research for companies like Microsoft, Dropbox, and P&G. Our panel is one of the most diverse and responsive in the industry. We’re a lean team of 30 across Sydney, Manila, and the U.S. We’ve recently become profitable and we are ramping up to accelerate growth. The Role As our Growth Lead, you’ll own the entire supply side of our marketplace - acquiring, activating, and retaining research participants. Your work ensures that researchers can always find the participants they need, whether they are looking for parents in Australia or CFOs in Germany. You’ll proactively build in-demand participant segments that are primed for research studies through reliable, compounding channels. At the same time, you’ll deploy fast, scrappy tactics to source participants to reactively fill research studies. You will lead and grow an existing team - setting the strategy, systems, and processes that grow our participant panel into the best in the industry. This is a growth role: by that we mean you’ll bring together skills in operations, marketing, automation, and experimentation to decide on and deliver against objectives that grow our participant panel and place them in more research studies. What You’ll Do Build a scalable multi-channel supply engine: Design and execute the strategy for acquiring, activating, and retaining high-quality research participants across consumer and professional segments. Strengthen and expand proactive channels: Own the engine that grows our panel. You’ll double down on what already works (referrals, reactivation, SEO) while exploring new ways to attract and engage participants (content, product growth, etc) Build fast, scrappy reactive channels: When a live study needs participants we don’t yet have, you’ll drive rapid, creative outreach - whether that’s targeted LinkedIn sourcing or cold calls - and turn the highest-performing tactics into repeatable playbooks for the team. Lead and grow a small, high-performing team: Grow an existing team - design the structure, roles, workflows, and KPIs needed to scale the function. Work cross-functionally across Product, CS, and Insights: Collaborate with internal teams to understand demand patterns, uncover supply gaps, and shape product decisions that improve participant quality, speed, and reliability. What You’ll Bring Growth or Ops background: Experience in fast-paced environments with exposure to some mix of lifecycle/product growth, SEO, performance marketing, targeted sourcing, or automation/GTM engineering. Builder’s mindset: You’re hands-on, scrappy, and comfortable solving problems before processes exist. You can run clever experiments and then turn early wins into scalable systems and automations. Bias for action: You move fast, gather data, and iterate. You know when to be scrappy and when to formalise. Leadership: You can lead and grow our existing team, own supply KPIs end-to-end, and build the operating cadence for a scaling function. Cross-functional problem solving: You can work effectively with Product, CS, Sales, and Insights to solve complex marketplace challenges - balancing customer demand with supply-side constraints.
