Senior Communications Officer (REQ ) Temporary full‑time position based at HPCA Pitt Street Office, Sydney CBD. 35‑hour week in a hybrid environment, open until 8 January 2027. Overview The Senior Communications Officer builds awareness and understanding of NSW health regulatory protection. You will connect professional and consumer audiences with HPCA and the 15 health professional councils, producing clear, impactful internal communications. Responsibilities Provide strategic communications advice to senior leaders. Manage media issues and relationships, including a minimum of 5 years’ experience in issues‑rich environments. Design and execute creative, considered communications plans. Build narratives and messages that cut through complex information. Deliver high‑quality content across a range of channels. Qualifications Substantial experience designing and delivering communication strategies and stakeholder engagement plans for large, complex organisations. Advanced written and verbal communication skills with narrative and storytelling expertise. Proficient in media relations and issues management. Skill in translating complex information for diverse audiences. Portfolio of creative content examples achieving organisational aims. Track record of building trusted, cross‑functional relationships at all levels. Relevant tertiary qualifications; journalism qualifications desirable but not essential.
