About the Opportunity Humero Recruitment Partners are partnering with a well-established organisation in the professional services sector to recruit a talented Financial Accountant for their Melbourne CBD office. This is a permanent full-time opportunity offering a balance of office based and WFH flexibility, ideal for someone seeking a stable role in a supportive and engaged finance team. The ideal candidate will be available immediately or on a short notice period. About the Role Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and insightful financial reporting, supporting month-end processes, and contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and compliance activities. This role will suit an accounting professional who enjoys both the technical side of finance and the opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders across the business. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, journals, and reconciliations. Analyse financial performance and provide clear commentary to management. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts. Maintain financial ledgers and support ongoing improvements to processes and internal controls. Support compliance activities including audit, tax-related tasks, and regulatory obligations. Partner with stakeholders to resolve finance-related queries and provide financial insights that support decision‑making. About You Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. CA/CPA qualified or working toward completion. Strong experience in financial accounting, ideally within medium to large organisations. Confident working with complex reconciliations, month‑end reporting, and financial analysis. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across the business.
