Team Leader Residential Case Management – Out of Home Care Location: Preston, VIC 3072, Australia Job Type: Permanent – Full Time Salary: $110,389 to $112,541 plus superannuation and salary packaging options. About the Role The Youth and Family Team Leader will lead, guide and support Youth and Family Support Workers in day‑to‑day case management, ensuring high standards of practice and advocating for the best interests of each individual child and young person. Key responsibilities include: Providing culturally safe supervision and oversight of caseloads. Delivering professional development, team building and compliance monitoring. Conducting risk assessment and maintaining up‑to‑date safety planning. Collecting data, auditing, reporting and contributing to program quality improvement. Engaging with partners and stakeholders following the principles of Gamadji Balit. About You Strong commitment to VACCA’s values and purpose. Experience collaborating with professionals, stakeholders and the community. Awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal cultures and the diversity within Aboriginal communities. Experience working with Aboriginal families and children. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Leadership experience in the child and family sector, including support, feedback and professional development. Knowledge of child and family welfare policies, legislation and practices, especially regarding residential care. High‑level organisational skills, time management and teamwork. Flexibility to work varied hours as needed. Leadership experience in case management with young people in out‑of‑home care. Relevant qualification in Social Work, Welfare or related field, or equivalent experience (additional training may be required).
