In this role, you’ll provide compassionate, evidence‑based care to research participants, deliver treatment interventions, and ensure accurate data collection across multiple concurrent clinical studies. Working alongside a dynamic multidisciplinary team, you’ll contribute to ethically driven, high‑impact research that directly informs and improves clinical practice. You’ll also have the opportunity to be involved in broader clinical and research initiatives across the Thompson Institute and the National PTSD Research Centre, helping shape the future of trauma‑informed care. For more information, please visit us online: Thompson Institute You will contribute towards the Thompson Institute’s vision of being a centre for excellence in PTSD research integrating mental health and neurological research to prevent and/or successfully treat trauma related mental health conditions; provide clinical expertise and therapeutic interventions and psychological assessments as part of the clinical research studies conducted at the PTSD Clinic in the National PTSD Research Centre; and take a leadership role in the clinical coordination and administration of mental health and neuro‑science research by providing nursing and clinical research expertise as part of the research team conducting clinical trials at the PTSD Clinic in the National PTSD Research Centre. About you You’re a highly organised, resourceful professional who thrives under pressure, juggling priorities and meeting deadlines with ease. Your excellent written and verbal communication, combined with strong interpersonal skills, enables you to engage confidently with diverse stakeholders. Whether working independently or within a multidisciplinary team, you thrive in collaborative environments and consistently deliver outstanding results. You will possess Completion of a degree in nursing and current unrestricted nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA); Post‑graduate mental health qualifications and experience in working in a mental health setting; The ability to manage clients in an outpatient setting, exercise sound judgement, and make appropriate referrals in consultation with medical staff as required; High level computing skills including experience with databases, clinical trial electronic data entry, word processing and spreadsheets; and Knowledge of ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and applicable regulations and a sound understanding of privacy principals governing health information. Desirable Experience working with diverse populations including those with existing trauma related conditions (eg veterans, victims of domestic violence, first responders).
