The Clinical Nurse andClinical Midwife (CN&CM) role is to lead and deliver women centred nursing care at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Registered Nurse Standards for Practice. The Clinical Nurse & Clinical Midwife is expected to be able to practice autonomously and provide leadership in clinical decision making. They have the responsibility for professional leadership in the absence of the Nurse Grade 7 and an opportunity to work collaboratively to lead practice changes and clinical innovation.Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north. We respect, protect and promote human rights in our decision-making and actions. **Key Responsibilities include:*** A Nurse Grade 6 is a Registered Nurse / Registered Midwife who:+ provides nursing and/or midwifery services in health service settings; and+ is responsible for a portfolio with a focus on clinical care/leadership, management, education and/or research.* Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) – State 2015 – Generic Level Statements Nurse Grade 6, Band 1 and the Queensland Public Service values.* Assumes responsibility for professional leadership for a ward, service or unit in the absence of the Nurse Grade 7.Remuneration value up to $97 606 p.a, comprising salary rates $54.44 - $58.30 p.h., (part time, 56hrs p.f.) employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 Band 1 ).
