Why This Role Stands Out Join as part of the founding engineering team Massive ownership: architect, build, shape standards from day one Work with top-tier mentors, advisors and ex-FAANG/scale-up engineers Build in a space combining cloud, containers, performance engineering and AI Generous salary + meaningful ESOP Startup pace, zero bureaucracy, high engineering bar What You’ll Work On Lead and deliver large-scale backend projects from concept to architecture to deployment Design the foundation of a highly scalable, distributed, cloud-first platform Solve deep technical challenges across performance, resilience, fault tolerance and orchestration Establish engineering & architectural standards for future hires Own critical components across compute, storage, networking and runtime systems Mentor early engineers and influence the long‑term technical culture Work closely with founders on product strategy, technical direction, and feature prioritisation What They’re Looking For 5+ years backend engineering experience in high‑performance or deep‑tech environments Strong in Python, Go or Java (tech‑agnostic mindset welcome) Advanced problem solving - able to break down complex distributed systems challenges Deep cloud experience (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP also valued) Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, containers , orchestration and cloud‑native patterns Skilled in performance tuning and building high‑throughput, low‑latency systems Understanding of modern architecture: scalability, resilience, security, fault tolerance Experience in cybersecurity or cloud infrastructure is beneficial, not essential A builder’s mindset - someone who wants to create, not maintain Environment & Culture Low‑ego, high‑output team Engineers who think strategically, take ownership, and care about craft A product solving genuinely painful problems for cloud teams Strong emphasis on autonomy, trust, and engineering excellence If you’re excited by complex engineering challenges, cloud‑native architecture, and the chance to have founding‑level impact, this is the place to do the best work of your career. #J-18808-Ljbffr
