About the role WesTrac is currently seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to join our workshop team in Tamworth. This role is a Monday-Friday full time position, working 50 hours a week. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Workshop Supervisor ensures general operations in the workshop are conducted safely and efficiently. The role is responsible for ensuring quality of work is completed to the highest standard whilst leading a team of skilled tradespeople, including plant mechanics, apprentices and trades assistants. Through successful implementation of efficient work order management, the Workshop Supervisor will aim to uphold safety, productivity and compliance requirements for all stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead a team of tradespeople and apprentices, ensuring work is allocated accordingly to meet project timelines Be a leader of safety through promotion and demonstration of safety behaviours and efficient reporting processes Provide support and advice to the team as required to ensure minimal delays in jobs and better-informed decisions Implement effective work order management to meet productivity targets and quality standards Maintain positive customer relationships through external vendor management Oversee roster management and approval of timesheets Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance processes, drive efficiencies and improve business operations Qualifications Experience in mobile plant maintenance in an agricultural, civil or mining setting Previous experience in supervising teams Advanced organisational skills with ability to prioritise fluctuating workloads and delegate efficiently Ability to handle the pressure of deadlines and conflicting priorities Management of needs between internal and external stakeholders Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and interpersonal Ability to work successfully in a team & individually, whilst fostering positive working relationships Benefits Fitness Passport for the whole family Annual Remuneration and performance review Income protection with 24 / 7 coverage 12 weeks paid parental leave Online Learning Library to support your continued development Refer a friend program – work alongside your mates and receive up to $ Purchased Leave program Opportunities for growth and development Employee Wellness Program Discounted private health insurance On-boarding and welcome day at our head office in Newcastle Apply Now If you believe you have the skills and experience to succeed in this role, please submit your resume for consideration via the link.
