Working with a diverse range of clients across the Queensland Police Service (QPS) and a range of external stakeholders, the team aims to develop new knowledge that informs operational and strategic decision making and service delivery.

The core capability requirements for this role are:Assist in the evaluation of QPS programs and initiatives and consult with other areas of the QPS on evaluation practices, methods and approaches.Monitor and review policing practices, strategies and initiatives at state, national and international levels and assist in the provision of advice on their efficiency, effectiveness and applicability to the QPS.Undertake research into external and internal issues affecting the QPS.Assist with the provision of well-researched, soundly based and defensible advice to senior management.Liaise with internal and external clients and stakeholders and represent the QPS as required.Provide secretarial support to the QPS Research Committee as required.Role Requirements:Qualification:While there are no mandatory qualifications required for this role, possession of a relevant degree level qualification with a significant focus onresearch and/or evaluation would be considered favourably.Other:Some inter and intrastate travel may be required for short periods.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Job Ad Reference: QLD/567824/24Further information
