Teacher/Tutor - Casual after school hours & Saturdays Hours available Mon‑Fri 4pm - 8pm and Sat 8am - 12 noon Are you a CRT or Teacher's Aide seeking consistent after‑school work?Do you love teaching kids but not all the demands of school life? Tandem Tutoring is on the lookout for highly motivated, driven, and passionate educators to join our growing team. We specialise in supporting families of children with specific learning difficulties and those seeking to boost their child's confidence and independence in learning. Work one‑on‑one or in small groups with individual students. Focus on teaching how to learn, not just teaching content. Be part of a compassionate and motivating team striving for excellence. Access experienced mentorship and high‑quality resources to deliver positive outcomes. We're Looking for Educators Who: Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Are qualified school teachers, teacher's aides, or have experience working with students with specific learning difficulties. Hold current Australian work authorisation and eligibility to work in Australia. Must obtain a Working with Children Check before commencing employment. Use evidence‑based methods and plan measurable goals to ensure progress is actively monitored. Are confident in planning, delivering, and documenting programs tailored to students' needs. Are familiar with the science of reading and are willing to undertake further training and professional development. Have knowledge of methodologies such as Spalding, Orton Gillingham, and Sounds Write (highly regarded). Love math We are experiencing a high demand in clients seeking maths support from Prep‑Year 10. Are able to commit to at least 5 hours a week after school hours. What You Will be Responsible For: Identify Areas of Need: Engage students in discussions to pinpoint specific topics or subjects they find challenging or wish to explore further. Review Academic Performance: Analyse recent homework assignments and test results to address incorrect responses and reinforce understanding. Prepare for Assessments: Use effective study tools and techniques to help students prepare for upcoming tests and quizzes. Maintain Session Records: Take detailed notes during sessions to track progress and plan for future tutoring activities. Parent/Guardian Communication: Regularly update parents or guardians about the student's trouble areas and celebrate their accomplishments with specific examples. Organise Workspaces: Maintain a clean and organised tutoring environment by tidying up and storing resources after each session.
