The Credit Analysis Unit (CAU) is responsible for pre‑approval credit processes from preparation of credit review packages to preparation of credit reviews and new credit applications. Joining the team as a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for preparation of credit applications by assessing financial statements of financial institution borrowers to form a view on their financial standing and identify key risks and provide mitigants as necessary, and, wherever relevant, conducting research on industry trends and statistics for benchmarking against peers to enhance the financial analysis value. Securing this role, you will be joining a truly global bank with ASX top 50 clients. In addition to your core credit analysis work, you will have the opportunity to work on regional projects, working in a small team where you will have a greater breadth and variety of work and a high degree of visibility to both senior management and offshore global clients. Your main responsibilities will include Analysing financial statements of corporate and financial institutional borrower to provide advice on their financial standing and identification of risk. Preparation of new credit proposals including key credit issues as well as Credit Analysis Unit’s independent review of each credit application, where necessary, conducting research on industry trends and statistics. Conducting annual/interim reviews. Preparing cash flow forecasts and sensitivity analysis to establish the debt repayment capacity. Supporting Credit Analysis Unit within Sector Alignment, managing workflow to ensure that all work done onshore and offshore is delivered within agreed timeframes and meets the required quality standard. Secondary controls and quality checking of facility letters and financial covenants. To be successful in this role, you will need A solid understanding of credit issues and risk assessment with the ability to produce complex numerical analysis, taking into account ongoing industry developments. Corporate lending experience with good credit and financial analytical skills and familiarity with CARM for Corporates, CARM for Banks and Digital Credit Platform (DCP) would be an advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a broad range of audiences. Self‑motivation and proactivity to be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a small team and build strong stakeholder relationships at all levels of the bank. Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian or New Zealand PR/Citizenship, or who can show they currently have unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
