VPT MECHANICAL SOLUTIONS PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Drill Fitter to join our team in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. This is a full‑time role with the option for residential or FIFO work arrangements. As a Drill Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of drilling equipment used in the mining industry, playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's mining operations. What you'll be doing Conducting routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on drill rigs, drill components, and associated equipment Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with drilling equipment, and implementing effective solutions Maintaining detailed records of all work carried out, including parts used and hours worked Collaborating with the wider team to ensure a safe and efficient work environment Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines What we're looking for Proven experience as a Drill Fitter or similar role in the mining industry. Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work on a wide range of drilling equipment, Drill and Blast, RC and Water well drill rigs. Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
