Business Analyst – Research Quality & Ranking Apply for this role at UNSW . The Opportunity 9-month parental leave contract from Jan to Oct 2026 Salary: $103,866 – $123,302 per annum (plus 17% super, pro‑rata) Hybrid/Flexible working arrangements About the role Research Analysis, Data and Reporting (RADAR) is a dedicated unit that supports UNSW’s goal of improving its research profile. As a Business Analyst, you will report to the Manager of Research Quality and Rankings and provide business analysis and project coordination services related to research analysis, data and reporting. Responsibilities Work with stakeholders across UNSW to improve service delivery quality. Contribute routine and ad‑hoc data analysis that supports executive strategy. Partner to continuously improve business processes. Qualifications – Level 6 Experience in business analysis, coordinating technical projects and improving online systems. Strong organisational and time‑management skills. Excellent customer‑service orientation and communication skills. Ability to prepare ad‑hoc reports using Excel, Python and SQL. Commitment to UNSW’s values and policies; awareness of health and safety responsibilities. Qualifications – Level 7 (in addition to Level 6) Experience engaging stakeholders and gathering requirements for large‑scale process changes. Strong analytical skills to interpret quantitative and qualitative data. Exceptional written and verbal communication, producing professional documents.
