Requirements for this role: Flexible hours available No experience required for this role Expected salary: $40 - $50 per hour Hi everyone, I run a pretty fun little tour business around Sydney mainly to the Blue Mountains and a little to other Sydney tourism destinations such as Hunter Valley. This job is pretty chilled, fun, social and obviously outdoors. We’re looking for someone who loves chatting, meeting cool people, is patient and always has a smile. It’s ideal for people who love being outdoors and chatting with happy internationals on their holiday. Generally the position involves one staff member doing the guiding and driving. Day trips require moderate hikes, so a degree of fitness is required. We do multiple walks including many stairs and often in the sun, and are looking for someone who can handle walking with groups of 20 or more. The minibuses (automatic) are about 7 to 8 metres long—longer than a standard car but not substantial. If you can’t handle a car this might not be for you. There are more opportunities for those who can drive larger buses after you gain confidence in the small buses. The person to take on this awesome job opportunity should meet the below criteria: Be over 25 years & not on a working holiday visa Be a local person fit to bushwalk Have a sense of humour Be happy, chilled & patient A part‑time warrior – great for a uni student Can offer multiple shifts a week Great punctuality, reliability and work ethic Work independently without supervision Live within 20 mins drive of Sydney city with preference to the Inner West/Inner South/Eastern Suburbs Have an MR heavy vehicle licence or be willing to obtain one Have a BUS Driver Authority or be willing to obtain one (free) Have a first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one After a chat you may be invited to tag along on a day tour to ensure it’s your thing Main tasks: Driving a small bus and chatting with happy travellers Visiting cool viewpoints and giving relevant content Providing basic info about kangaroos and other Aussie topics Connecting with customers to make their day awesome Refuel the bus at a servo (if you don’t know what a servo is, then this isn’t your job) Quick sweep of the bus at conclusion of the tour Maintain the 5‑star level of the business – small tips come from a great experience Job Interest / Applicants: Please send over some information about yourself and then we can determine if you best fit the position and personality requirements of the job.
